About the website
I created this website to shed light on the ongoing ski patroller strikes because their struggle is largely overlooked, yet essential to the safety of every skier and snowboarder on the mountain. Massive ski corporations rake in billions while paying patrollers wages so low that they can’t even afford to live in the very towns they protect. These are the people who mitigate avalanche risk, respond to life-threatening injuries, and ensure the slopes are safe—yet they’re forced to work second jobs just to get by. The strikes happening across ski resorts aren’t just about wages; they’re about respect, fair treatment, and the survival of the ski industry as we know it. Without ski patrollers, resorts can’t operate. This website exists to amplify their voices, expose the reality of corporate greed in the ski industry, and rally support for those who risk everything to keep the mountains safe.
